MODEL UNITED NATIONS

This is an individual competition.

Competition participants are SMP & SMA students. (12-18 y.o.)

Each school is allowed to send more than 1 representative.

Participants are expected to be present at the competition’s zoom at least 30 minutes before the competition starts.

Participants must use proper and correct English.

Contestants must wear proper formal suit (plain shirts and blazers, not uniforms).

All participants are required to make a Position Paper based on the country's allocation in accordance with the provisions.

The paper should be between 1-3 pages with the following structures:

• Background (according to country allocation)

  • Specific definitions of the topics that will be discussed.

• Past International Action

  • Interesting statements by the UN.

  • Important UN resolutions.

• Country Policy

  • Contains the influence of the topics discussed in the wider community according to country allocation.

• Possible Solution

  • Contains proposed solutions and made as creative as possible.

  • Provide the source at the end of the page.

• References List 

  • Refers to APA formatting

The competition will be held live online through Zoom Clouds meetings on November 3-4, 2021.
